Understand digital marketing channels and future trends with a focus on social media marketing.

Module 2: Content marketing

Content is king: understand the art of content marketing and how to distribute content via a blog.

Module 3: Social media strategy and implementation

Learn about the most prominent social media networks and platforms used in marketing today, including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and more, and develop a comprehensive social media marketing strategy and implementation plan.

Module 4: Beyond Facebook: growing social media channels

Take your social media marketing strategy beyond Facebook and across the growing ‘niche’ social media platforms including, WhatsApp, Snapchat, Vimeo, Vine and more.

Module 5: Master your personal brand online

In the world of social media marketing, you have to have an online presence. Learn how to create, market, and manage a personal brand.

Module 6: Email marketing

The earliest and most traditional digital marketing channel remains one of the most dominant: email marketing. Learn how to utilise email marketing to forge strong relationships with your customer base, improve customer retention, increase brand awareness, and generate sales.

Module 7: Marketing data analysis

This module introduces you to tools and techniques to analyse the external environment of an organisation. Learn how to interpret market trends and developments within the specific context of your organisation or business.

Minimum age

You will need to be at least 18 years old.

English

This course requires learners to read online learner modules, undertake a range of task-driven assessments and engage in online discussions. Consequently, learners need to have an effective command of written and spoken English. As a guide we recommend that learners currently or have previously:

  • Been employed in a workplace for at least one year, where they predominantly use English language in verbal and written communications and/or;
  • Have successfully completed one year of study taught predominately in English language and/ or;
  • Have achieved an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination score of 5.5 during the past three years and/or;
  • Have achieved an overall pass score on our free Open Colleges Language, Literacy and Numeracy tool available on our website for a Diploma.
